The Chemical Division was
institutionalized in 1972 as a captive Caustic Soda Plant to fulfill the
requirement of the Staple fibre division of Grasim. It commenced with a 100
TPD [Tonnes Per Day] plant in technological collaboration with Denora
(Italy).
Since then, Chemical Division has never looked back and from a captive plant,
it has matured into the second largest merchant chlor-alkali plant of India
with installed capacity of 760 TPD [Tonnes Per Day].
Apart from increase in installed capacity in the Caustic Soda plant, Chemical
Division is proud to have diversified into other value added product
categories.
