Vikram Chlorosulphonic Acid is a powerful sulphating and sulphonating agent, a fairly strong dehydrating agent and a specialized chlorinating agent. In most of its applications it is used to form Sulphates, Sulphonates, Sulphonyl Chlorides with such organic compounds as hydrocarbons, alcohols, phenols, amines. Due to its high reactivity and versatility in organic synthesis, the list of uses of CSA is almost endless.
